Job summary

Luminant Power LLC in Reading, PA seeks a Plant Operator to oversee the control room operations for reliable plant performance. You will respond to alarms, coordinate maintenance, and ensure safe operation of gas plant equipment within the Gas fleet.

Required are 2–4 years of related experience and a high school diploma or GED; completion of POSS/MASS testing is essential. This role is based at Reading, PA with growth opportunities in a dynamic energy environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of related experience.
• Power plant experience preferred.
• Completion of Tier 1 job performance measures in Operations, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrument & Controls.
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Demonstrate basic computer skills and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and control power plant systems from the Control Room.
• Execute plant shutdowns and startups; respond to alarms and equipment issues.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure proper functioning.
• Maintain safety, health, and environmental procedures; follow LOTO and related practices.
• Interact with vendors and contractors as needed.
