Job summary

Luminant Power LLC in Pennsylvania seeks a Plant Operator at Ontelaunee Plant to oversee plant operations from the Control Room, including startup/shutdown, alarms, and maintenance coordination.

The role emphasizes safe, reliable operation and hands-on maintenance of gas plant equipment, with emphasis on safety compliance and performance expectations. Training through POSS/MASS is required.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of related experience.
• Power plant experience preferred.
• Tier 1 performance measures in Operations, Mechanical, Electrical, and I&C.
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Demonstrate standard computer-based skills.
• Demonstrate effective oral & verbal communications skills.
• Independent knowledge of troubleshooting.
• Ability to work well under pressure and make decisions in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
• Must pass POSS/MASS pre-employment test.

Responsibilities

• Assist/perform troubleshooting of plant equipment and preventive/corrective maintenance.
• Provide skills for maintaining equipment at the plant.
• Perform clearances in LOTOV under supervision.
• Utilize/operate hand, power, precision or machine tools to support safe work environments.
• Maintain knowledge of electronic control systems and computers.
• Follow safety and environmental regulations for all work phases.
• Adhere to Lockout Tagout, Job Safety Analysis, Confined Space, Hot Work, PPE procedures.
