Job summary

Luminant Power LLC is seeking a Plant Operator at Ontelaunee Plant, Pennsylvania. The role covers operating, monitoring and controlling all power plant systems from the Control Room, and coordinating maintenance with commercial commitments.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, responding to alarms, and promoting safe, effective, and reliable operation of the gas plant equipment.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of related experience.
• Demonstrate standard computer based skills.
• Demonstrate effective oral & verbal communications skills.
• Independent knowledge of troubleshooting.
• Ability to work well under pressure and make decisions in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
• Must pass POSS/MASS pre-employment test.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and control plant systems from the Control Room.
• Coordinate plant shutdowns and startups; respond to alarms and equipment issues.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure proper plant equipment function.
• Promote safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
• Utilize safety procedures including Lockout Tagout and Electrical Safety.
• Maintain knowledge of electronic control systems and instrumentation.
