Job summary

Luminant Power LLC in Reading, PA, seeks a Plant Operator to oversee safe, reliable operation of all power plant systems from the Control Room. You will monitor, start up and shut down equipment, respond to alarms, coordinate maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental procedures.

The role requires 2–4 years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, strong troubleshooting and communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of related experience.
• Power plant experience preferred.
• Tier 1 job performance measures in Operations, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrument & Controls.
• High School diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Assist with troubleshooting of plant equipment and perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Daily maintenance, overhauls, repairs, removal/installation of plant equipment and structures.
• Maintain plant equipment and provide skilled support.
• Perform clearances in LOTOV under supervision.
• Use hand, power, precision or machine tools to support safe operation.
• Understand and follow safety and environmental regulations.
