Luminant Generation Company LLC in Pardeesville, PA, seeks a Plant Operator to oversee the Hazelton Power Plant operations. You will monitor and control plant systems from the control room, execute start-ups and shut-downs, respond to alarms, and coordinate maintenance in alignment with commercial commitments.

Qualified candidates have 2–4 years of related experience, basic IT skills, and strong communication abilities, with progression through Tier 1 performance measures and safety training.

Qualificações

• 2-4 years of related experience.
• Satisfactory completion of Tier 1 job performance measures consisting of basic Operations, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrument and Controls.
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Demonstrate standard computer-based skills.
• Demonstrate effective oral & verbal communications skills.
• If applicable, candidate must meet the requirement of PT1-E.

Responsabilidades

• Inspects, repairs, and maintains various types of plant equipment.
• Understands and is able to ensure proper operation of the plant; may oversee in the absence of management.
• Repairs and calibrates equipment.
• Troubleshoots equipment and systems.
• Develops and implements plant operating procedures.
• Adheres to safety, health and environmental procedures (Lockout Tagout, Job Safety Analysis, Confined Space, Hot Work, Electrical Safety and PPE).
• Actively trains others in area of expertise.
• Performs technical work or analysis of processes in areas of expertise.
• Gains knowledge of the entire plant cycle and how it functions.
