Sundt Construction in Phoenix seeks an experienced Construction Manager II to support the Project Manager in planning, directing and delivering power infrastructure and larger construction projects. The role emphasizes safety, cost control, and timely execution with a focus on profitability and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years on $100M+ projects, strong leadership, and proficiency with MS Office and scheduling software.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of project site management experience on large construction projects (>$100M).
• Four-year construction-related degree or equivalent training plus 6+ years of experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and project scheduling software.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in directing staff and maintaining profitability across projects.
• Coordinate with crews and field managers to ensure budgets, schedules and safety guidelines are met.
• Understand contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, drawings and specs; support cost control and budgeting.
• Ensure safety on all sites through training, meetings and site inspections.
• Build client relationships and assist in resolving client issues and opportunities.
• Contribute to takeoffs for concrete, asphalt, earthwork and utilities as needed.
• Monitor daily budget goals and labor cost analyses to meet targets.
• Plan, develop and supervise project team to ensure relentless execution.
