Job summary

Sundt Construction seeks a technically skilled leader to direct and coordinate engineering across pre-construction, design, and field operations. You will interface with owners, vendors, and in-house teams, guiding scope development and pricing while ensuring alignment with project schedules.

The ideal candidate has construction/engineering experience in power plants and a track record of delivering cost-effective, high-quality design output.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required.
• Minimum of 5 years design or design oversight experience.
• Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical interface with key vendors and suppliers.
• Ensure all engineering projects conform with Sundt's policies and objectives.
• Incorporate components, materials, and tools that result in cost‑effective and quality output.
• Involvement with scope development, technical support, system performance modeling and pre‑construction pricing development.
• Manage and direct overall engineering budget and costs.
• Plan and direct all aspects of engineering activities and projects.
• Serve as a technical interface between owners, subcontractors and in house.
• Support the project teams and operations by providing technical expertise and design input.
• Utilizes best practice engineering methods and provides expert technical guidance for engineering initiatives.
• Will support the business development department with sales and pursuits providing technical input and feasibility analysis.
