Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking a Construction Manager II in Arizona to assist the Project Manager with planning, directing, and completing large-scale heavy industrial projects. You will coordinate contracts, drawings, and specifications, supervise field staff, and ensure safety and profitability on assigned projects.

Ideal candidates bring 6+ years in construction, strong budgeting acumen, and excellent communication to maintain client relationships and drive timely project execution.

Qualifications

• Four-year construction degree or equivalent with related experience.
• Plus minimum of 6+ years in the construction industry.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in directing and coordinating staff for contracted projects.
• Communicate with crews and field managers to ensure projects meet guidelines, budgets, and hours.
• Understand contracts, subcontracts, POs, and change orders to control costs within budget.
• Enforce safety training and monitor job sites for hazards.
• Develop client relationships and assist with client issues.
• Plan, direct, coordinate and motivate employees to meet goals.
• Participate in takeoffs for concrete, asphalt, earthwork, and utilities as required.
• Monitor daily budget goals and weekly labor cost analyses.
