Job summary

BayWa r.e. Americas is seeking a Power Origination Manager to join our Commercial Team. This role leads engagement with offtake counterparties, supports RFP bids and negotiates various offtake contracts for solar and storage projects.

You will collaborate with Senior Management, Development, Engineering, Finance, and Legal to shape the origination function and drive growth across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; minimum three years of related experience.
• MBA is preferred.
• Experience in deal origination, energy trading or similar contracting in North American markets is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead offtake strategy and execution across mid- to late-stage projects.
• Negotiate and structure a range of offtake contracts (PPAs, VPPAs, RA, BTAs, storage tolling).
• Support internal project workstreams: approvals, reporting, pricing strategy.
• Own regional pricing intelligence and market updates on deal flow and pricing.
• Analyze deal economics and run sensitivities from an origination lens.
