Job summary

Longroad Energy is seeking a Senior Origination Manager to lead customer engagement, commercialization strategy, and PPA negotiations for utility-scale solar and storage projects across ERCOT, SPP, MISO, PJM, SERC, and ISO_NE. The role is remote within the Eastern U.S.

and requires up to 30% travel to meet customers and partners. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in energy markets or 7 years on renewables, with strong PPA knowledge, cross-functional collaboration, and excellent communication

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in energy markets or 7 years on utility-scale renewables.
• Familiarity with key concepts in renewable project PPAs.
• Organized and detail oriented, but keeps the big picture in view.
• Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams on complex projects.
• Ability to travel up to 30% to meet with customers.

Responsibilities

• Monitor market fundamentals, customer demand trends, procurement activity, and regulatory developments to identify opportunities and inform commercial strategy.
• Support the preparation of commercial theses and presentations for Senior Management to inform development and acquisition strategy.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with utilities, municipalities, load serving entities, and corporate off takers.
• Prepare marketing materials and initiate bilateral discussions about offtake opportunities with potential buyers.
• Direct bid package preparation in response to offtake opportunities, including RFPs and RFIs for utility-scale solar, storage, and hybrid projects for the East region.
• Lead the PPA negotiation process from proposal development to contract execution and act as the single point of contact for counterparty discussions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders to develop negotiation strategy and resolve issues.
