Job summary

RWE Americas is seeking a Senior Manager of Utility Scale Development to lead solar, wind and storage projects across the US and Canada. You will drive the full project lifecycle from greenfielding to COD, coordinating cross-functional teams and external consultants to optimize CAPEX and schedule.

Responsibilities include due diligence, land control, interconnection, engineering optimization, and overseeing acquisitions with the M&A team, while mentoring junior managers and delivering strategic

Responsibilities

• Develop a portfolio of utility-scale Solar, Wind and Energy Storage projects, from greenfielding to start of construction.
• Serve as project lead, managing large cross-functional project teams.
• Manage the full project lifecycle with internal experts and external consultants, including due diligence, land control, environmental/permitting, interconnection, engineering & pre-construction, energy yield, tax abatements, power marketing, and tax equity financing.
• Oversee cost estimating and EPC bidding to firm up CAPEX in collaboration with Precon and Procurement.
• Lead engineering design optimization and provide construction-phase support to ensure COD.
• Mentor junior Development Managers/Associates.
• Drive financial attractiveness by collaborating with commercial/technical teams; identify best locations.
• Lead due diligences of acquisitions with M&A team.
• Prepare management presentations and drive internal approvals; manage budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
