Job summary

1898 & Co., part of Burns & McDonnell, seeks a Project Manager to lead power market and supply planning engagements, driving business development and executing complex studies for utilities, ISOs/RTOs, and developers.

You will oversee multidisciplinary teams, manage scope, budget, and schedule while delivering actionable insights and robust client relationships. Strong technical grounding and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in power market and power supply planning studies.
• Experience with U.S. wholesale markets including day-ahead and real-time energy products.
• Knowledge of production cost modeling and capacity expansion tools.
• Understanding of ISO/RTO structures (MISO, SPP, NYISO, CAISO, ERCOT, PJM).
• Experience applying financial and economic analysis techniques (DCF, NPV, IRR).
• Strong leadership of multidisciplinary teams and client-facing project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead power market and power supply planning engagements from BD through execution.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client relationships.
• Direct teams of engineers, consultants, and analysts.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development.
• Present findings to clients clearly and concisely.
