Job summary

1898 & Co., part of Burns & McDonnell, is seeking a Project Manager for its Power Markets team in Atlanta. You will lead power market and supply planning engagements, guiding engineers and analysts from business development through project execution in a seller-doer capacity.

The role emphasizes managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client relationships while mentoring staff and contributing to growth of the practice through technical leadership and risk analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, computer science, data science or similar field (ABET-accredited).
• Minimum 5 years of related experience; at least 3 years managing engineering or consulting projects.
• Strong knowledge of power supply planning software, preferably PROMOD (zonal and nodal) and Capacity Expansion tools.
• Experience with power supply planning, market analysis, or IRP studies.
• Excellent communication and ability to lead diverse teams and manage client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead power market and power supply planning engagements from business development through project execution.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client communications.
• Direct and coordinate multidisciplinary teams of engineers and analysts.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to business development and growth of the practice.
