Baringa, a global consulting firm, is hiring for an Energy Products Consultant to Senior Consultant in the United States. You will develop North American power market outlooks, lead modeling workstreams, and translate complex results into actionable client deliverables.

This role emphasizes data-driven analysis, collaboration with leadership, and scope to contribute to SaaS and tooling offerings. Ideal candidates have 3–6 years in power modeling, strong analytics, and experience with

Formación

• 3-6 years of experience in power market modeling or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of wholesale power markets and fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with production cost modeling tools (PLEXOS, PROMOD, AURORA, GridView).
• Proficiency in Python, SQL and Excel for large-scale data analysis.
• Ability to troubleshoot models, interpret results and identify drivers.
• Clear communication of technical findings to varied audiences.
• Experience leading investigations, QA/QC and documentation.
• Experience modeling North American power markets (ERCOT, PJM, NYISO, etc.).
• Bonus: automation, AI, advanced analytics, and tool development.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain North American power market outlooks with data-driven insights.
• Lead power market modeling workstreams, including scenario design and QA.
• Define analytical approaches with leadership and translate client needs into plans.
• Build and maintain modeling datasets, workflows, and automation.
• Analyze market fundamentals, policy impacts and investment implications.
• Convert outputs into client-ready presentations and reports.
• Present findings to clients, senior stakeholders and internal teams.
• Contribute to global Energy Products offerings and thought leadership.
