Job summary

Wood Mackenzie, a global leader in energy analytics, seeks a Managing Consultant to lead power market modelling engagements across North America. You will run production cost models, build scenarios, and deliver strategic insights to clients and executives.

You will manage workstreams, coach junior staff, develop PCM offerings, and support business development with proposals and client relationships, using Python, SQL and advanced analytics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in power and/or renewables consulting with PCM experience.
• Hands-on PCM experience with models like PLEXOS, AURORA, PROMOD, GridView or EnCompass.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; excellent written and verbal communication.
• Graduate degree preferred; undergraduate in engineering, mathematics, physics, economics or finance.

Responsibilities

• Lead management and delivery of commercial, transaction and strategic consulting projects.
• Plan and manage project workstreams against scope, timeline and budget.
• Develop power market analytics and run production cost models for North American markets.
• Support business development and client relationships across NA power markets.
• Coach Consultants and Senior Consultants to ensure high-quality deliverables.
