Job summary

Wright Tree Service is seeking a Tree Trimmer in Fridley, MN to prune and remove trees and limbs near power lines while maintaining health and appearance. You will use climbing gear, a powered trimmer lift, and ground tools to perform line clearance with safety as a priority.

The role requires knowledge of ANSI standards and OSHA electrical safety, plus the ability to work long hours, and CPR/First Aid certification or the ability to obtain it quickly. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months of tree trimming or clearing crew experience or successful skill assessments completed.
• Proven ability to work near energized conductors with appropriate safety practices.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, CPR/First Aid cards preferred or obtainable within 90 days.
• Must be able to operate hand tools, pruners, saws and rigging equipment safely.
• Knowledge of ANSI Z133.1 and ANSI A300 standards and OSHA electrical safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload vehicles with limbs and logs of manageable size.
• Trim, remove and/or fell trees using climbing gear and ground tools.
• Work aloft with lifting equipment to cut branches and lower sections safely.
• Use ground tools to fell and segment trees; maintain debris control.
• Follow safety rules, educate others, and report hazards to supervisors.
