Job summary

Wright Tree Service in Minnesota is seeking a Tree Trimmer to prune and remove trees and limbs near power lines, ensuring safety and reliability of the electrical network. You will work aloft with climbing gear and operate ground tools, performing maintenance and following OSHA and ANSI standards.

Responsibilities include load and unload equipment, rigging, herbicide application, and assisting with traffic control and safety on job sites.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 months of experience in tree trimming or clearance crews, or completed skills assessments.
Valid First-Aid and CPR cards or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
High School diploma preferred, but not required.
Valid driver’s license and DOT medical card preferred per division and requirements.

Responsibilities

Load vehicles and equipment with limbs and logs.
Trim, remove and/or fell trees using climbing gear and ground tools.
Work aloft to cut branches and lower them with rigging lines.
Operate ground tools to fell trees and split into pieces.
Inspect vehicles and perform routine maintenance; report needs to supervisor.
Maintain safety compliance and assist with traffic control and hazard protection on sites.
