Job summary

Babcock Power is seeking a Project Manager to oversee multiple large projects through design, procurement, fabrication, construction, and start-up. You will guide a cross-functional team across departments and serve as the primary contact for customers on technical, schedule, and commercial matters.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or business-related fields with 5–10 years in project management, and may have PE or PMP certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, business management, or equivalent degree.
• Between 5 and 10 years of project management experience in engineering or construction.
• Power industry experience is preferred.
• Professional Engineering (PE) Certification is preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support project requirements.
• Internal management of core project team and resources to meet objectives on time and within budget.
• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones.
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
• Represent the business as single point contact for customers regarding technical, schedule and commercial matters.
• Monitor projects and take a lead role to resolve issues.
• Prepare and issue progress reports and presentations to customers and management.
• Manage contractual claims to a satisfactory conclusion for all parties.
• Implement and maintain project quality on assigned projects.
• Collaborate with Project Procurement Managers to determine procurement processes.
