Generac channel partner is seeking a skilled Generator Technician to install, maintain, and repair generators ensuring reliable power for clients. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and problem solving in diverse environments.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, diagnosing failures, replacing parts, testing repairs, and documenting inspections. Applicants may need 2+ years with generators and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and the ability to read technical schematics.
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and tools, up to 50+ lbs.
• Capable of working in various environmental conditions.
• Valid driver's license
• 2+ years working with generators preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on generators, including oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot generator malfunctions and failures.
• Replace or repair defective parts and components as needed.
• Test and verify repairs to ensure proper operation.
• Conduct regular inspections of generators and systems to identify issues or hazards.
• Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports and recommendations.
• Offer upgrades or replacements as needed.
• Maintain records of service activities, repairs, and parts used.
• Submit service reports promptly.
• Participate in on-call rotations for emergency repairs.
• Communicate status of work orders with inside staff.
