Job summary

Generac channel partner seeks an experienced Generator Technician in Ruston, LA to install, maintain, and repair generators, ensuring reliable power for customers. Responsibilities include oil changes, system checks, diagnostics, parts replacement, and documenting service reports.

Qualifications

• 2+ years working with generators required.
• Factory certificate: Air or Liquid Cooled (Generac, Kohler, CAT, CUMMINS, ETC..) preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on generators, including oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot generator malfunctions and failures.
• Replace or repair defective parts and components as needed.
• Test and verify repairs to ensure proper operation.
• Conduct regular inspections of generators and associated systems to identify potential issues or safety hazards.
• Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports and recommendations.
• Offer recommendations for upgrades or replacements as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of all service activities, including repairs, maintenance, and parts used.
• Complete and submit service reports in a timely manner.
• Participate in on-call rotations for emergency repairs.
• Communicate with inside staff regarding the status of work orders.
