Cummins Inc. is seeking a Field Service Power Generation Technician in Kenner, LA to service generators at customer sites. The role focuses on preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and effective communication with customers to ensure uptime and safety.

You will work with Cummins service tools, document all work, and maintain vehicle readiness while adhering to health and safety policies. A willingness to travel to customer locations and mentor junior technicians is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience performing preventative maintenance on generators.
• Ability to diagnose and repair at customer sites.
• Willingness to follow documented procedures and safety policies.
• Strong communication with customers.

Responsibilities

• Establish productive customer relations and ensure prompt attention to needs.
• Diagnose and complete complex repairs at customer sites.
• Perform preventative maintenance on power generation products in the field.
• Escalate unresolved issues to product specialists or supervisor.
• Complete service documentation in the system.
• Maintain service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and operation.
• Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
