Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Houston, TX, seeks a Field Service Power Generation Technician to perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on generators at customer sites. You will work with customers professionally, apply diagnostic tools, and maintain accurate service records.

The role requires knowledge of power generation systems, safety compliance, and timely documentation. A technician with field experience and relevant electrical certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Apprentice Trained Power Generation/Electrical Technician preferred.
• Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution.
• Current relevant electrical certification.
• High/Low voltage experience preferred; basic workshop experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on generators at customer sites.
• Engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Use specialized tools and documented procedures to diagnose and repair, including preparing required parts/tools.
• Complete required documentation (service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims).
• Complete training in line with skill and business requirements.
• Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental policies and report issues to supervisor.
