Job summary

GAI Consultants is seeking an Engineering Manager 1 to lead projects in the Power Generation sector from our Glen Allen, VA or Pittsburgh, PA offices. The role includes guiding business development, managing complex civil engineering tasks, and supervising a staff of engineers.

The candidate will apply advanced engineering principles, drive technical solutions, and coordinate with clients and stakeholders while traveling 10% for hearings and meetings across the Mid-Atlantic region.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of engineering experience
• B.S. or M.S. in Engineering
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
• Willing to travel ~10% for public hearings and community meetings

Responsibilities

• Lead projects of moderate to major scope within the Power Generation practice.
• Serve as technical advisor applying advanced engineering concepts.
• Manage project teams, schedules, and deliverables.
• Review procedures to ensure policy and performance compliance.
