Job summary

Caterpillar in Seguin, Texas is seeking a Production Technician III to join our Power Generation team. You will work hands-on to assemble, test, and troubleshoot diesel generators and help develop other technicians’ skillsets.

The role requires at least 6 months of manufacturing experience or a relevant degree, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read and interpret English documents. The 2nd shift offers a 10% premium and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• 6 months manufacturing experience or relevant college degree.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Intermediate computer/tablet skills and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, and troubleshoot diesel generators per work instructions.
• Align engine components and install gaskets, seals, wiring, hoses, and covers.
• Perform quality inspections and audits; escalate issues to root cause and counter measures.
