Job summary

Caterpillar in Seguin, Texas is seeking a Production Technician I to join our team across all shifts. You will work hands-on to assemble, test, and troubleshoot diesel engines and components, aligning parts per instructions and ensuring quality.

You should have at least 2 months of manufacturing or warehouse experience, be able to read English documents, and be comfortable with Excel/Word/PowerPoint. Starting pay is $18.50 per hour plus benefits and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 2 months of experience in machining, manufacturing, or warehouse environments.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret English documents.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Commitment to safety procedures.
• Ability to work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Align and secure engine components according to work instructions.
• Install gaskets, seals, bearings, hoses, covers, and visual components.
• Ensure parts and materials used in assembly are defect-free.
• Assist in problem-solving and improvement initiatives across departments.
• Verify alignment of engine components using schematics and prints.
• Inspect parts and materials for quality defects.
• Perform torque audits, leak tests, and visual inspections on engines.
• Adhere to SOPs and area-specific instructions.
• Provide process information to supervisors and managers.
• Occasionally participate in training.
