Job summary

Caterpillar in Seguin, Texas seeks a Team Lead for Power Generation assembly. You will oversee a team of production technicians, drive productivity, enforce safety and quality, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires leadership experience in manufacturing, mechanical aptitude, and strong teamwork. 2nd shift with a 10% premium and a Monday–Thursday schedule; relocation and visa sponsorship are not offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience with leadership exposure.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical documents.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret English.
• Experience with standard operating procedures or standard work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train production technicians to ensure proficiency.
• Ensure safety and 5S adherence in the work area.
• Escalate issues to Production Manager or engineers as needed.
• Fill team positions and perform assembly tasks.
• Inspect parts for quality during assembly.
• Collaborate with other departments for problem-solving and process improvements.
• Support Continuous Improvement initiatives and follow work instructions.
