Job summary

Pike Corporation in Mobile, Alabama is seeking an entry-level engineer to support our Engineering team on power distribution projects. The role blends office and field work, offering hands-on experience with design workflows, data entry, and project documentation.

You will learn tools, participate in storm restoration as needed, and grow under supervision from experienced engineers, while maintaining safety and quality standards on-site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (Some client projects may require an Associate degree).
• 0-2 years of experience in power distribution engineering, electrical craft work, or GIS/CAD-related work.

Responsibilities

• Regular on-site attendance is required; on-site work is not eligible for remote or hybrid arrangements.
• Interpret and comply with applicable codes, regulations, policies, and procedures while maintaining accurate project documentation.
• Assist with the development of complete project packages, including drawings, material lists, estimates, and requisitions, using company and client design software and work management tools.
• Prepare comprehensive project packages—drawings, material lists, estimates, and requisitions—while utilizing company and client design software and work management tools.
• Provide regular project status updates and build strong working relationships with internal and external partners to ensure expectations, timelines, and business objectives are met.
• Actively build technical, design, and field knowledge through ongoing training and mentorship from experienced team members and engineers.
• Participate in storm restoration activities as needed.
