Sigma Technologies has multiple Designer positions available that REQUIRE Power Make Ready Design Experience. We provide make-ready/joint-use and general distribution design services to power utility companies. We seek knowledgeable, experienced staff to join our program teams.
Note: This position is remote, but new hires must attend an initial 2-week in-person paid training at our headquarters in Perrysburg, OH.
We prioritize our associates' health, happiness, and security, offering:
Education: HS Diploma or equivalent required; an Associate’s degree or higher is preferred but not mandatory. Management may consider other educational combinations.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of demonstrated experience in power utility distribution make-ready engineering design is required; 2+ years preferred. Management may consider alternative combinations of education and experience.
Personal: Valid driver’s license, insurance, willingness to undergo background checks, and authorized to work in the US. Willing to travel overnight if needed.
Technical Skills: Experience with CAD, MicroStation, or related design software; knowledge of power distribution system construction and planning; ability to learn proprietary customer software.
Make-Ready Engineering, Utility Pole Design, Overhead Design, Permitting, CAD, GIS, NESC, OSHA Regulations, Project Management, and related skills listed comprehensively in the original description.
