Job summary

Entergy is seeking a Distribution Engineering Design planner in Broussard, LA to coordinate customer-facing design work and resource scheduling. Responsibilities include contacting customers, gathering design information, and guiding projects through to service dates with a focus on efficient design resource assignment.

The role requires 2 years of transmission/distribution experience, 1 year with Maximo/CCS, and strong communication and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2 years Entergy Transmission or Distribution experience.
• 1 year of Maximo & CCS experience.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Experience with Excel and database applications.
• Desirable: Maximo, GDT, AMFM DFM, Storm Assist, Power BI, CCS.

Responsibilities

• Contact external customers within one working day and schedule an appointment with a Designer.
• Explain policies and inform customers of tasks needed to receive service.
• Manage Design resources across a geographic area and assign Designers to primary/secondary areas.
• Monitor Designers' calendars to optimize appointments efficiently.
• Communicate with Designers about assignments, schedules, and questions.
• Coordinate with Network Line groups to expedite work or handle special requests.
• Identify and rectify root causes of customer complaints or inquiries.
• Apply knowledge of AM/FM-DFM and Maximo to construction applications.
• Review and update Maximo backlogs; identify deficiencies and propose solutions.
• Serve on the Storm Response Team and support Damage Assessment/Logistics.
