Job summary

Entergy Louisiana, LLC is seeking a Dist Designer Helper - Distribution Designer, Sr. to be onsite in Baton Rouge. The role focuses on drafting, field investigations, and coordinating with customers to meet service requirements while adhering to Entergy standards and safety policies.

Responsibilities include preparing construction drawings, estimates, and facilitating communication across departments to ensure timely project delivery and reliability of distribution services.

Qualifications

• Under Class 1 supervision, perform elementary drafting and prepare dimension drawings.
• Conduct field investigations and evaluate service alternatives, prepare drawings and estimates.
• Design overhead primary and secondary facilities (pole jobs, internal jobs, revenue).
• Coordinate and negotiate right of way easements and permits per Entergy standards.
• Communicate and coordinate projects with Entergy departments and customers.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and preparing construction drawings and material estimates.
• Meet with customers to discuss requirements and arrange service dates.
• Assist in engineering calculations, tables, layouts, and reports as needed.
• Ensure safety practices and participate in daily/monthly safety meetings.
• Approve and release project designs when authorized.
