Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program and EIT license.
• At least 3 years’ experience performing power engineering duties.
• Familiar with basic computer operation and introductory programming; ability to use electrical design software tools.
• Experience in field construction or startup power plant work; directing junior engineers is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques to design large power projects.
• Formulate technical specifications and coordinate design with construction partners; perform bid evaluations and recommend contracts.
• Prepare electrical engineer designs, including layout, schematics, calculations and conceptual design.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, upholding departmental design standards and applicable codes.
• Collaborate with a large project team including in-house engineers and construction superintendents.
