Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Project Manager in California to lead large, multidisciplinary engineering projects from concept through completion. You will oversee scope, schedules, budgets, and risk while coordinating process, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and environmental teams.

The role emphasizes client relationship management, strategic growth, and overall project profitability. The ideal candidate has 15–25 years in engineering and design PM, with a PE license and PMP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale or strategically significant engineering and design projects.
• Define and manage project scope, objectives, deliverables, schedules, and budgets in alignment with client goals and company strategy.
• Oversee all phases of project delivery and integrate multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality solutions.
• Ensure alignment of technical, financial, and contractual performance with organizational standards and client expectations.
• Lead client liaison for major accounts and manage stakeholder relationships to drive satisfaction and repeat business.
• Develop, monitor, and control project budgets and profitability targets; negotiate contracts and manage subconsultants.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

Master’s degree preferred

Professional Engineer (PE) license

PMP certification preferred
