Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Field Engineer II / Estimator to support planning, estimating, and delivery of large power delivery projects. This mid-career role blends preconstruction with field operations to develop future Project Engineers and Managers.

The position requires flexibility for site assignments, strong technical and communication skills, and a willingness to work across office and field environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years supporting large construction or EPC projects.
• Understanding of estimating principles, project controls, and field operations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in quantity takeoffs, labor calculations, equipment estimates, and material pricing.
• Support development of cost estimates, proposals, bid packages, and execution plans.
• Review drawings and contracts to identify project requirements and risks.
• Coordinate with field teams to support project execution and reporting.
• Maintain project documentation including RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Support safety and quality programs on site.
