Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Field Engineer in the United States to support power delivery projects. You will collaborate on estimating, scheduling, and on-site construction activities, ensuring safety and quality on multi-discipline sites.

Ideal candidates will possess a related degree, strong reading of drawings, and hands-on experience with scheduling, cost control, and field operations. Relocation and travel may be required across locations nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Authorized to work without sponsorship.
• Knowledge of construction safety and OSHA standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and owner specifications.
• Familiarity with project scheduling and cost control techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Hard Dollar, Revit, SAP, ProLog or Primavera P6 is a plus.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.
• Willingness to relocate and travel as required.
• Access to reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team to build, estimate, and schedule construction projects.
• Prepare detailed work plans and schedules to guide execution.
• Ensure quality control, manage costs, and handle materials and logistics.
• Administer safety programs per the company's safety philosophy.
• Foster relationships with owners and stakeholders.
• Support both administrative and field operations: drawings/specs review, takeoffs, cost estimates.
• Supervise subcontractors and coordinate with vendors.
