Job summary

Kiewit Power Constructors District is seeking a Field Engineer II to lead project field engineering efforts and report to the Project Manager. You will supervise field operations, assist in planning, cost, and reporting, and ensure safety and quality across site activities on diverse power projects.

This role requires coordinating with office engineering and estimating teams. The position emphasizes contract administration, scheduling, and advisory support to management while supporting field

Qualifications

• Ability to travel and relocate as needed.
• 3+ years' construction field experience.
• Work experience in engineering and leading engineers.
• Undergraduate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and specifications for field crews and supervision.
• Perform quantity calculations from measurements and determining percentage of completed/installed materials and work.
• Assist in the preparation of work plans and work packages.
• Assist in field surveying and layout support including elevation, control points, and as-built data.
• Assist in compiling daily labor timesheets and JHA’s.
• Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, mass safety meetings, and safety training.
• Order and schedule material deliveries.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate work groups on the jobsite.
• Supervise field operations.
• Assist with material takeoffs and basic engineering calculations to support field operations.
• Assist in preparation of submittals to customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
