Job summary

South Yorkshire Pensions Authority (SYPA) is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to design and deliver Power BI dashboards and advanced reporting to support corporate reporting, performance management and decision-making. You will work with data from SQL databases, Excel, SharePoint, PDFs and CSV exports, turning complex information into accessible insights.

Qualifications

• Experience developing dashboards using Microsoft Power BI.
• Proficiency in SQL and database management.
• Experience analysing complex data and presenting clear insights.
• Strong attention to detail and a focus on data accuracy.
• A proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and identify useful insights.
• Strong stakeholder and communication skills.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft 365, Teams and Planner.
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
• Understanding of performance monitoring and service improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver BI dashboards and reporting for corporate decision-making.
• Identify data collection improvements and reporting methodologies.
• Maintain Power BI dashboards and compile detailed reports.
• Provide administrative and coordination support to programmes and projects.
• Track actions and milestones, coordinate meetings, and support project management activities across SYPA.
