Job summary

AKG of America in Mebane, NC is seeking a full-time operator for our powder coating line to paint coolers following work orders and AKG guidelines. The role requires reading and understanding detailed instructions, and using basic computer tools to retrieve information when paperwork is incomplete.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading with a chain hoist, checking powder levels, lifting items after processing, inspecting coated parts, and packaging as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to use basic computer programs.
• Read and understand detailed work order instructions.
• Capable of using computer programs to retrieve information on equipment.
• Experience with manual handling and chain hoist assistance when unloading/load.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand detailed work order instructions.
• Use computer programs to retrieve information on the coolers if paperwork is missing.
• Manually, or with a chain hoist, unload coolers from the skid and hang on the paint line.
• Check powder levels in the coating machine and add more if needed.
• Lift the cooler off the paint line after processing.
• Inspect the quality of powder-coated coolers and touch up as needed.
• Add plugs or package coolers as instructed by the work orders.
• Meet production quotas from Lead or Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Report issues to Supervisor or appropriate personnel promptly.
• Adhere to AKG EMS policies and attendance requirements.
