Job summary

AKG of America in Mebane, NC is seeking a Test Tank Operator to operate and monitor testing of coolers in a controlled manufacturing environment. You’ll handle setup, pressurization, inspection, and documentation to ensure quality and reliability of each unit.

Qualifications

• High attention to detail and accuracy in testing
• Ability to follow testing procedures and work instructions
• Comfort with lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for shifts

Responsibilities

• Retrieve and position coolers on the test tank using a chain hoist or manual assistance.
• Install test plugs, connect hoses, and pressurize according to testing requirements.
• Lower coolers into the test tank and inspect for leaks or air bubbles.
• Document test results and stamp approved units; route nonconforming items.
• Direct failed units to repair and communicate issues to appropriate personnel.
