Job summary

APX in Greencastle, IN is seeking a reliable Powder Coating Technician to join our production team. The role focuses on preparing and applying electrostatic powder coatings to aluminum parts, with involvement across the paint line to maintain smooth workflow.

You'll operate spray equipment, inspect finishes, and collaborate with supervision to ensure quality while supporting other production areas as needed. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of powder coating experience.
• Experience with aluminum parts preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work various shifts, including weekends.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate electrostatic powder spray guns to coat aluminum parts.
• Ensure uniform, high-quality finishes.
• Visually inspect coated parts for coverage.
• Maintain wash bay and cure ovens as part of finishing.
• Test finishes and address coating quality with supervisor.
• Identify defective parts and take corrective action.
• Assist with cleaning and routine maintenance of equipment.
• Cross-train in other production areas and assist forklift operations.
• Perform additional duties to support coating and finishing.
