Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC is seeking a Poultry Processing Supervisor for Retail or Further processing departments to supervise production personnel and ensure compliance with company policies and federal/state regulations while achieving productivity and meeting customer specifications.

You will mentor staff, manage safety initiatives, and coordinate with quality assurance to maintain a food-safe environment. Experience in manufacturing or poultry is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year’s experience in manufacturing; three years in food manufacturing or poultry preferred.
• Leadership experience including knowledge of timekeeping requirements, policy adherence and conflict resolution.
• Working knowledge of poultry processing, food safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, GMP and HACCP.
• Ability to communicate in English, with internal and external customers; multi-language ability preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• Proficient computer and math skills; fast-paced environment suitability.

Responsibilities

• Supervise processing production lines/departments to meet schedules and budgets.
• Deploy and rotate personnel to optimize efficiency and ergonomics.
• Ensure accurate daily departmental reports and staffing records.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and reduce deficiencies.
• Lead or participate in process improvements and monitor metrics.
• Partner with Quality Assurance for food safety and sanitation per USDA requirements.
• Mentor and train employees; administer performance and disciplinary actions.
• Promote safety policies and PPE usage; maintain zero-accident culture.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet location goals.
• Learn and adhere to any applicable Union contracts.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
