Job summary

ePac Flexible Packaging is hiring a Pouch Operator to set up and run pouch making machines that convert laminated films into ready-for-customer product at our Chicago-area facility. This 10-hour shift runs Monday through Thursday.

The role includes reading job specs, operating equipment, and ensuring quality to meet customer requirements. Beneficiaries include multiple medical options, dental, vision, disability coverage, a 401K with employer match, generous PTO, holidays, profit sharing

Qualifications

• Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Observes machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions; makes corrections.
• Measures workpiece dimensions to ensure accuracy of operation.
• Assists and cooperates with others to stack, pack, and transport finished boxes.
• Performs changeovers, maintenance and PM on equipment.

Responsibilities

• Observes machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction; makes corrections.
• Measures workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.
• Assists and works cooperatively with assistant machine operators to stack, mark, pack, and transport finished boxes.
• Perform changeovers, maintenance and PM on equipment.
• Quality Control checks and production reports
