Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks a Scientist in Analytical Development to advance potency cell-based assays, flow cytometry, and immunoassays. You will lead method transfer and validation in GMP settings, working with limited supervision in a cross-functional team.

In this role you will design experiments, interpret results, and ensure rigorous documentation while mentoring junior scientists and driving project decisions. Cambridge, MA-based position with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (Preferred PhD) in immunology, molecular biology or cell biology.
• 4–6+ years of relevant experience in assay development or QC/cGMP.
• Demonstrated experience in potency assay development and execution.
• Proficient in statistical analysis with JMP, SAS or equivalent.
• Strong technical writing and oral communication; ability to convey project status and needs.

Responsibilities

• Applies broad expertise in analytical development to advance strategies and project objectives.
• Designs, executes, analyzes, and evaluates hypothesis-driven experiments with limited supervision.
• Interprets results and communicates conclusions, ensuring scientific rigor and documentation.
• Troubleshoots and resolves challenging assay issues with data-driven decisions.
• Authors and reviews technical documents such as SOPs, development and validation reports.
• Supports method transfer, validation, and routine testing of samples across stages.
• Contributes to continuous improvement and evaluates new technologies and workflows.
• Trains and mentors junior scientists and represents the team in cross-functional meetings.
