Job summary

Heidelberg-USA is seeking a Field Service Technician (Postpress) to travel to customer sites across the region for installation, setup, repair and training on Heidelberg Postpress equipment. You will work remotely with customers, performing troubleshooting and preventive maintenance to ensure factory standards are met.

The role requires strong mechanical/electrical skills, the ability to manage a large service territory, and readiness to travel up to 75% with occasional weekend work.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent in mechanical, digital, and electronic tech
• Minimum two years in field engineering servicing electro‑mechanical devices and on-site at customer locations
• Technical degree is a plus; HS diploma/equivalent acceptable; 5–10 years field service experience

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of Heidelberg Postpress equipment
• Conduct maintenance and training for Heidelberg Postpress equipment
• Assist with installation with qualified riggers and equipment moves
• Complete paperwork timely (expenses, timesheets, training, vehicle maintenance)
• Provide customer operator training and on-going equipment maintenance training
• Deliver on-site troubleshooting and repairs as directed by Field Service Manager/GSC
• Communicate progress and ETA to dispatch and customers
• Travel up to 75% of the workweek, including occasional weekends
