Job summary

Heidelberg USA is seeking a Field Service Technician – Sheetfed to install, troubleshoot, repair, and train customers on Heidelberg equipment in the Detroit area. You will work with installation teams, riggers, and the tech helpdesk to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.

The role requires 3–5 years on bindery equipment, mechanical/mechatronics background, and strong MS Office skills, with travel about 50% and OT as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience working on printing or similar equipment, preferably Heidelberg equipment.
• Travel about 50% of the time.
• 3-5 years of experience working on bindery equipment (Cutters, folders, stitchers).
• Mechanical/mechatronics background.
• Computer/tech savvy and customer service skills.
• Like working with your hands and have a mechanical aptitude.
• Regular attendance and timeline is required.
• There may be times that over-time or weekend work will be critical to the job.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and train customers on Heidelberg equipment.
• Work with installation teams, riggers, and the technical helpdesk to ensure tasks are completed effectively.
• Complete all paperwork in a timely manner (expenses, time-sheets, reports, etc.).
