Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current registered nurse license in the State of Texas; BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification within six months of hire.
• Willingness to cross train to other areas and float to similar clinical areas.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English; good communication skills; hospital experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Promotes the facility mission, vision and values in all services and practices.
• Care delivered per Nurse Practice Act and ANA Standards.
• Performs nursing care using sound judgment; implements physician orders safely.
• Assists with admitting, discharging and transferring patients; transcribes orders.
• Maintains detailed nursing records and provides patient/family education and support.
• Makes rounds, prioritizes patient needs, and maintains a safe environment.
• Administers medications and therapies within safe nursing practice.
• Develops and updates patient care plans; communicates issues to Charge Nurse/Director.
• Performs other duties as assigned; adheres to policies and procedures.
• Directs licensed and non-licensed staff in patient care; supports team development.
• Coordinates with organ procurement organization for regulatory compliance.
