Job summary

DHR Health in Edinburg, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Full Time Night shift in Labor and Delivery. You will deliver patient care through the nursing process and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Required qualifications include a TX RN license, BLS, NRP and ACLS (or within 6 months of hire), BSN preferred, and 6 months to 1 year labor and delivery experience. Willingness to cross-train to other areas is expected to support hospital needs.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; RN license in TX; BLS, NRP and ACLS required or within the specified timelines.
BSN preferred and willingness to cross-train to other areas.
6 months to 1 year labor and delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensures care meets the Nurse Practice Act of TX and ANA standards.
Evaluates and improves quality of nursing care; maintains knowledge through ongoing education.
Contributes to professional development of peers and collaborates with the care team.
Delivers patient care, communicates effectively with patients and families, and supports ethical practice.
Uses evidence-based practices and safety considerations in planning and delivering care.
Fosters a positive work environment and teamwork; performs other duties as assigned.
