Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license in Texas.
• Current BLS, NRP and ACLS certifications.
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course recommended by 2nd year.
• Willingness to be crossed trained to other areas.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct and coordinate nursing care for department patients per clinical standards.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure effective, efficient patient care and outcomes.
• Support the hospital mission and demonstrate culturally sensitive care.
• Maintain competencies and participate in performance improvement activities.
