Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Current Texas RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• NRP Certification or within 6 months of hire.
• ACLS certification or within 6 months of hire.
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course by 6 months.
• Willingness to cross-train to other areas.
• 6 months to 1 year RN labor/delivery experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Delivers patient care through the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Directs and coordinates nursing care for departmental patients per standards.
• collaborates with other disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery.
• Adheres to the Texas Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards.
• Cross-trains to other areas as needed.
• Provides care with sensitivity to age and cultural diversity.
