Job summary

The ideal candidate will be a BSN-preferred graduate with TX RN license, BLS and ACLS within six months, and flexibility to float to similar units. Strong communication and cultural awareness skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess valid Texas RN license.
• BSN preferred; accredited nursing program graduate.
• Current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification within six months of hire.
• Willingness to float to similar clinical areas.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; bilingual sensitivity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care through the nursing process: assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team to meet patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and therapies safely within scope of practice.
• Document accurately and maintain detailed patient records.
• Assist with admitting, discharging and transferring patients.
• Provide patient and family education and emotional support.
• Promote facility mission, vision and standards of care.
• Adhere to Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards for patient care.
