Qualified candidates hold an RN license, with NIHSS/NRP preferred. A BSN is strongly preferred, with 1+ years in charge nurse roles and 2+ years in acute postpartum care. This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and professional development.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required; NIHSS and NRP certifications preferred.
• 1+ charge nurse or leadership experience in a postpartum unit.
• 2+ nursing experience in acute care postpartum setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform venous access procedures within RN scope, ensuring safety.
• Administer and monitor infusion therapy, adjust plans as needed.
• Assess patients to determine venous access and address complications.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for infusion therapy.
• Provide patient education on venous access and infusion therapy.
• Monitor staff performance, provide feedback and conduct appraisals.
• Mentor staff, organize training, and promote career progression.
• Resolve conflicts using mediation to maintain team cohesion.
• Lead quality improvement by analyzing data and implementing strategies.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team.
• Precept new staff with hands-on training and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and hospital policies.
